Saab will buy Phaeros Group BVBA, based in Belgium. The company provides management systems for ports in the global market.
– This is a strategic and long-term deal for Saab. It strengthens our product portfolio in the management of port terminals and is an excellent platform to build on our common customer base and strengthen our ability to provide leading products for the management of the maritime world, says Anders Carp, head of business unit Traffic Management within the business area at Saab Surveillance.
Phaeros has 27 employees in Antwerp, Belgium, and Chennai, India. The company will be integrated in the business area at Saab Surveillance product Maritime Traffic Management with principal operations in the Netherlands, Canada and Sweden.
