Phone Scammers from “Microsoft” are after your money – Swedish Radio

A growing number are called the “Microsoft technical support” that says you have computer problems. But it is a scam – hang up

For years, people have been contacted by a person who speaks English, often with Indian accent, but according police’s national fraud center seems the campaign now have intensified.

Only from Stockholm has around 30 complaints received in a short time.

will call you, you are offered to for a small amount to get your computer cleaned of viruses – but you’re also depriving your security code and card number to your bank card.

This is a scam and in this way has been cheated on many thousands

of dollars.

The real company, Microsoft says they never contact their customers in this way.
