According to the Daily News used the Armed Forces Server 2013 in a denial of service attack against US banks to take out their IT systems.
The newspaper also reports that thousands of Swedish servers can still be used in similar attacks. It was during the so-called DDoS attack in 2013 that
websites of major US banking companies were eliminated. The incident received great attention and were investigated including the FBI.
