Despite all the fuss over Apple’s latest phones is the Android platform that dominates the sales of smart phones substantially.
the Launch of #Iphone 7-the family earlier in the fall created large headlines and great demand, with customers who are still waiting to get their devices delivered. Despite this, the stand Iphone product only just over a tenth of all smart phones sold.
notes analytikerföretaget Strategy Analytics who have investigated the global sales for the third quarter of this year. The report notes the company that close to 88 percent of the total sales consists of #Android-based phones.
Neil Mawston, executive director at Strategy Analytics, believes that the large proportion of to some extent consists in the fact that Android has taken the shares from the #IOS. In a press release indicates he is a poor bet in China as a reason that Android has been able to grow at the expense of Apple’s products. Other platforms, where #Windows Phone #the Blackberry OS is included, accounting for a mere 0.3 per cent.
Försäljningsandelar in the figures:
-
Android – 87,5%.
-
IOS 12.1 per cent.
-
Other – 0.3%.
another director at Strategy Analytics, Woody Oh, lifts, however, a cautionary finger for the Android platform’s future. He believes that the hundreds of different manufacturers who fill the market with various telefonupplevelser can lead to a fragmented market where only the biggest players can turn a profit.
That Google advertises its own #Pixel-phones can also be seen as an attack on the platform they themselves created, which could drive manufacturers toward others, or proprietary platforms. The report can be read in its entirety here for the who register at Strategy Analytics.
