Ubisoft have told us that they will no longer number next Assassin’s Creed game. Instead, they will be named after their respective themes in the future. This tells Assassin’s Creed: Unity developer Arnaud Jamin (via The Games Cabin).
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is thus the last game to get a number in the title, while Assassin’s Creed: Unity begins a new era for the series and when Jamin asked why the upcoming game does not get a fifth title, he replied: “we plan to go with a title That matches the theme in the future.”
We can imagine that it’s a healthy attitude for a game series from which it is released new titles each year. Ubisoft is not likely to have any plans to write a proper ending for his most cash lucrative game series and with numbered titles we eventually had been sitting on an Assassin’s Creed XVI, which can easily
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is notoriously not the only assassin game that fans have to look forward to in the fall. On the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will also Assassin’s Creed: Rogue where you play a Templar. Shipping from last year’s game returns in the Rogue and it includes penguins, for those who are interested in such things.
