There will be two new data centers in Europe, one of Ireland Galway and one in Danish Jutland, writes Apple in a press release. Around eight out of the billions estimated to be in Denmark, where a data center opens in 2017 in Vyborg, according to Berlingske Business.
– We are grateful for Apple’s continued success in Europe and proud that our investments support communities on the continent, says Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Large Investment in Danish Viborg built next to one of the country’s largest substations and the heat that computers generate must be sent off as heat to the residents nearby.

Apple not alone to locate data centers in the north among the giant IT companies. Google already has one in Finland and Facebook has famously a large data center in Luleå.
