Armed Forces forcing away Tellus Tower – New Technology

The skyscraper at Telefonplan in Stockholm, Terra Tower, would be 240 meters high and contain 700 apartments. This would make the building Europe’s tallest residential building.

But the Armed Forces said no, because the house would be likely to prejudice the defense of national interest by interfering with various “technological systems”. What kind of systems involved are confidential.

Yesterday was the city of Stockholm and the Swedish Armed Forces met with the County Administrative Board, which is the governing body of the the case. The gist was that the City of Stockholm to look for a new place to build the 75-story building. It is anticipated that the work will take about a month.

– It was a constructive meeting, and we have high hopes of finding a good solution, says Anette Scheibe Lorentzi, Managing Director of City Planning in the City.

The city’s Beauty advice, which criticized the placement Telefonplan for aesthetic reasons , have suggested that the house rather than being built in Kista. Adjacent to the existing Kista Science Tower skyscraper contribute to an “interesting urban environment” instead of “smashing the small scale of” around Telefonplan, according Beauty Council.

Kista, however, is not relevant at this stage, according to Anette Scheibe Lorentzi.

– We are looking at alternative investments mainly in the immediate area. More than that, I can not say now, we have only just begun the process, she says.

When the city developed one or more concrete proposals, these are presented for the defense.

– We have promised to prepare the matter expeditiously, said Col. Lars Hit, director of production management infrastructure department the Armed Forces.
