the Investigation of the accident last year, where a man in the united states was killed when he drove into a trailer with its partially self-driven Tesla, is put down without action. The U.S. trafiksäkerhetsmyndighet NHTSA has not found any technical faults in the vehicle system.
Tesla says in a comment that "the safety of our customers comes first and we appreciate the thoroughness of NHTSA’s report and its conclusions".
the Accident in Florida in may last year has attracted great international attention and caused many to question the safety of the Tesla system, which allows long distances without or with very little involvement of the driver.
After the accident, the upgraded Tesla system
the Investigation shows, among other things, that the driver was driving on a road with a 104 kilometers per hour as speed limit. He had not made any attempt to brake or swerve. His last action was to set the trip computer at 119 kilometres an hour.
