Apple releases Battery Case for iPhone 6S – 99mac

Now there’s an Apple shell with built-in battery for iPhone 6S and 6 beyond earlier versions of leather or silicone.

Apple expands its range of protective cases for the iPhone 6S and 6 with a new variant with an integrated battery. The new shell is called the Smart Battery Case and provides up to 25 hours of talk time.

The shell is sold in two colors, graphite gray and white and costs 1095 SEK. The inside is lined with microfiber which protects the phone and there is a hinge mechanism that makes it easy to take on and off. The outside is made of silicone.

The shell and the phone can be charged simultaneously, and works with Apple’s own docking station. When the shell is on, the battery status on the lock screen and in Notification Center.
