A huge internal error of Apple made to customers in 40 countries did not come to the App Store and iTunes for almost a day.
First on Wednesday night, the problem was solved.

The error meant that millions of Apple customers could neither download or update apps, accessing iTunes and cloud services.
Tim Grimes, social media analyst, writes on Twitter that Apple, according to his calculations, lost nearly 2 million dollars per hour as iTunes did not work. He based his calculation on the company’s sales figures last year.

“We apologize to customers who have experienced problems with iTunes and other services,” writes Apple in a press release, and refer to one that the cause was an internal system error. Only at 22 o’clock on Wednesday evening came the first reports that the services were running again.
