More than 50 exhibitors are ready to show and tell about experimentation and research, and also let visitors try their hand at what the research and production of new fuel types, solar panels and game programming may involve.
– We want to show breadth of scientific and technical subjects and exhibitors come from universities, companies and schools, Sami Vihriälä and Tobias Blom, who are two of SciFests project.
They work on the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Ångström, and Uppsala University arranges SciFest along with the Technical College, Uppsala Municipality, Provincial Office, Regional Council and Biotopia.
– The festival is aimed primarily at schools in the county, but we will be visited by a school in Katrineholm also. We sincerely hope that those who come here will be inspired to read science subjects. They think it is fun to walk around between different stands and try out various experiments are in any case clear, said Tobias Blom.
