The staff at Fenestra St Jörgen warn that primary school children play violent computer games. In a letter urges school parents to review their child’s gaming habits.
– GTA5 should not be played by eight-nine years old, says the school’s headmaster His Skålberg.

Parents are encouraged in the letter to keep an eye on what your kids play and look on Youtube, as well as discuss the matter with other parents and tell each other about the games that are better suited for children.
Felix Gyllenskiöld Stig Serrao is a secondary school teacher at Frölunda School and runs the blog Game teacher. He uses games in different ways in their teaching to help and interest students.
– It is good that the school takes some responsibility if they see that children begin to use a tougher jargon than what they would normally do at that age, he said.
At the same time, he stresses that it is important for parents to familiarize themselves with their children’s gaming interests.
– Many parents misunderstand this with the game and think that all games is for everyone. But they’ve their age and it is important to inform, that some games are for adults.
