Now give Google into streaming fight – and releases a free version of the service Google Play, according to Reuters.
Having been in the US for several years, Google launched music streaming service Google Play last year in Sweden. So far, the Internet giant only offered a paid subscription for 79 dollars a month – but now the company releases a free version. The service was launched on Tuesday, offering the listener a certain part of Google’s music offering, but only online, and with breaks for commercials.
– We believe that this is a way that the service shown to many people, says Elias Roman , Google’s product manager, in an interview, according to Reuters.
Apple Music on the road
How many subscribers Google Play is unknown, but the company claims that the number doubled in 2014. Roman says that he hopes that more listeners will be eager to pay for an update after testing the free version. Google Play fighting primarily against competitors Spotify, Apple and Tidal of streaming listeners. On June 30, launches US Apple’s Apple music – a service that will combine the 37 million songs in iTunes with the radio station Beats 1 and personalized playlists based on recommendations.
Spotify is the greatest
