– It is during those times when an IT security department is not fully staffed. It’s a bit vulnerable during holiday periods and may not be able to tackle an incident as fast as in ordinary cases, says Anna Barkevall, security expert at IT security company NTT Com Security.
After the leaves have noticed an increase in malicious programs installed on employees’ computers, for example by someone semesterledig employees linked up against unprotected wireless network.
It also happens that the job computers are stolen or lost.
The company now presents a new survey shows that more than six in ten respondents IT security looks negligence among employees as a big or a very big threat. And almost half think that employees with mobile connected devices are a great or very great threat.
In the survey, IT security managers in 50 municipalities and authorities, as well as 50 listed companies surveyed.
