Swedbank’s customers were affected by technology breakdowns – Private Businesses

At 18:30 pm on Tuesday night the problems started, reports Swedish Radio. There was no access to the internet bank or mobile service Swish. There were also problems paying with cards, except for the credit card.

– Our engineers have a picture of what happened. Now we have to analyze a little more detail to actually arrive at the root cause of this problem. There we are working with full right now, says Claes Warrén , which is press contact with Swedbank, the Swedish Radio.

Many of the victims expressed their frustration in social media. Swedbank’s Facebook page was quickly filled with angry comments. Customers complained about everything from not being able to withdraw money from the ATM to the trouble paying the restaurant bill.

– If there are any customers who have suffered financially because of this, that, for example, been unable to pay any bill so they will be able to contact us and we will get help to keep them harmless as much as possible, says Claes Warren to Swedish Radio.

Since 3:30 o’clock in the morning, all the services functioning again. According to Swedbank, there is nothing to suggest that the case of a hacker attack, or that the money has disappeared.
