This spring launched Microsoft has a new version of the tablet Surface where an important innovation was that you stopped supplying it with Windows RT and instead opted for a full version of the operating system, as is the case with the Surface Pro.
Surface 3 available in a special version tailored for schools and the first company to order one becomes Sigtuna municipality whose IT Technical Coordinator Mattias Bussman state that the municipality previously used computers with different operating systems and structures but aiming more and more on the tablet with detachable keyboard.

– We wanted to to invest in hybrids in order to get a smooth PC with touch function. We have and will still have the traditional laptops and tablets, but this beats good and it turns out that hybrids are a hit, well then maybe we completely and keep investing in the kind of form factor. Time will tell, and not least the pupils’ results.
Microsoft’s tablet goes to control using a special pen, something that will make it particularly suitable for students.
– When want a full-sized computer to get it and when you need to collaborate across the network or in the classroom, you can do it. Students can sit and plug in different places, draw and sketch with the pen, take notes and work with documents that the teacher part, says Mattias Bussman.

Store price for Surface 3 is in 6800 dollars for the version that has flash disk of 128 GB and 4 GB of RAM, but the models available to schools has something simpler specifications and thus lower prices.
Microsoft says to deal with Sigtuna municipality is among the largest in Europe around the Surface 3. Previously, a number of schools invested in the Surface Pro, for example, Vara Municipality as last spring acquired over a thousand Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3 six million.
