Software company Informatica Corporation, in April accepted a takeover bid from a company controlled by the Permira Funds and CPPIB, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, will also get Microsoft and Salesforce as the new owners. It writes The New York Times.

The reason why Microsoft and Salesforce connect the new owners are the companies’ relationships with the Informatica, said Brian Ruder, head of Permira investment unit. Informatica is a regular participant at Salesforce’s annual conference Dreamforce, while the company is a user of Microsoft’s cloud offerings.
Informatica, a provider of software and services for data integration to enterprises, agreed in early April bid which valued the company at 5.3 billion dollars.
