A survey of US consumers have investigated how the use of Apple’s new streaming music service looks .
Then # Apple Music was launched on 30 June, the music service received mixed response. Among other things it has been awarded criticism for numerous bugs and instability and cluttered user interface. According to Apple’s Eddy Cue, however, use 11 million users of the service, which may be deemed granted digits in such a short time, even though it is low in relation to the total number of Apple users.
Now the music industry analyst Music Watch conducted a survey of 5,000 US consumers, and share the results in a report. According to the figures, there are about three-quarters (77 percent) of iOS users in the US have heard of the Apple Music, and about one in ten (11 percent) said they currently use the service. This is roughly equivalent to how many people buy music from the iTunes store.
For those who began the trial of the Apple Music says 52 percent of those still using the service. 64 percent of those who use Apple Music today say they are likely to start paying after the trial period. However, 61 percent of active users disabled the automatic renewal.
Among music listeners who pay for a Spotify subscription is 28 percent, while using Apple Music. Of those who use Spotify’s free line, the figure is only 11 percent.
30 percent of Apple music users listen to the radio station Beats 1, and 27 percent use the service Connect. 33 percent say they are Apple Music has been eager to start buying music from the iTunes Store, or buy more.
Apple denies digits
Just 52 percent of those who started testing the service still uses it may be considered remarkable. This means that almost half dropped out, although Apple Music is still free to use.
