Apple builds a self-driving car in Silicon Valley in the US and are looking for places where they can vägtesta it, according to The Guardian, who has studied the documents of the company.
In May, engineers from Apple have hit representatives of Momentum Station, a giant plant that is closed to the public and guarded by the military. Area – a former naval base outside San Francisco – are used for testing driverless cars.
The company has long been rumored to work with an electric-powered, driverless car, code-named Project Titan. In May, said Deputy CEO Jeff Williams to the “examined many different markets… Where we believe we can make a big difference,” writes the newspaper.
Google, Tesla, Volkswagen and several other automakers authorized to test drive driverless cars on public roads in California. However, such tests can reveal technical details, something notoriously secretive Apple probably wants to avoid.
