The US matprofessorn Marion Nestle has listed a large number of studies that have come in the spring which is sponsored by the manufacturer of the product being studied. It is not based on an assessment of the results are wrong, but on a finding that such results almost always speaks in favor of the product.

• “The usefulness of animal protein for weight reduction.” Sponsored by the meat, dairy and egg industry.
• “The intake of animal protein may be too low in dietary guidelines calling on the public to eat less saturated fat.” Sponsored by the meat, dairy and egg industry.
• “Cranberry reduces the risk of heart disease.” Sponsored by: Ocean Spray cranberry inc.
• “No link between fructose and obesity.” Sponsored by: Canadian Sugar Institute, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, corn growers, the World Sugar Research Organisation.
• “Supplementation with probiotics reduces the risk of metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes.” Sponsored by industrial funds and Yakult UK Ltd.
• “Milk Protein provides a secure grants in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.” Sponsored by the dairy industry. The authors is a consultant to and employed by the dairy industry.
• “An egg a day reduces inflammation in diabetics compared to breakfast on oatmeal.” Sponsored by the Egg Nutrition Center.
• “Chocolate lowers blood pressure.” Sponsored by Hershey Company.
• “Statins prevent attacks equally in men and women.” Sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.
• “Whey reduces the risk of coronary heart disease.” Sponsored by Arla.
• “Omega-3 improves the growth of infants with no risk of being overweight.” Sponsored by Mead Johnson Nutrition (large manufacturer of omega-3 supplements).
• “Mediterranean diet with olive oil and nuts counteracts cognitive decline.” Several of the authors have been commissioned for nötbranschen.
• “Palmitic improves the blood lipids.” Sponsored by Tersus Pharmaceuticals (manufacturers of palmitic acid).
• “Whey protein is favorable for sustained weight loss.” Sponsored by the Dairy Research Institute and The whey Research Consortium.
• “Cocoa reduces the risk of obesity-related diseases.” Sponsored by Hershey Company.
• “Eggs can be a safe part of the diet for type 2 diabetes.” Sponsored by the Australian Egg Corporation.
• “Rape lowers cholesterol, in some cases, more than drugs.” Sponsored by Flax2015, The Canola Council of Canada.
• “The flavonoids in cocoa improves cognitive function, blood pressure and the metabolic profile.” Sponsored by Mars Inc.
• “Sugar-sweetened products results in lower blood levels than dairy products.” Sponsored by the National Dairy Council.

Almost never published industry sponsored results which contradict the sponsor’s interest.
Here are two exceptions:

• “Milk protein did not give additional weight loss.”
