Apple’s legal representative Mike Maletic be in August have had a meeting with the state’s experts in self-propelled vehicles. The discussions take place while rival companies like Google and Uber is continuing with its plans for self-driving cars.
The Guardian reported last month that Apple has investigated a test area in California for further testing of its vehicles, which goes under the code name Project Titan.
The California agency for motor vehicles is currently drawing up rules for the use of self-propelled vehicles. The rules will set requirements for how manufacturers have tested the vehicles, how they live up to the various safety requirements and that they are ready for consumers to use on public roads.
