A robot quiet and calm rolling back and pick up your trash can. It is the image that Volvo wants to convey when they present a new collaboration with the University.
In the fall, students at a number of different programs to develop a prototype of a sophämtarrobot, and test it in practice. But the goal is not a commercial product, the attempt is more of a testing ground to see how the robot and the garbage truck to talk to each other.

- But I find it hard to believe that it will be so complete that it can be used in reality, there will be more of a demonstration that shows the technology of the future, says Per-Martin Johansson.
But even if this first version of Wall-E will not roll on your street, there maybe a chance to come.
- In the future it may become a reality by garbage collection robots, even if it is not the goal of this particular project, says Per-Martin Johansson.
