More and more skilled jobs will disappear when the labor market is computerized, it says Anna Breman, analyst at Swedbank.
– What we have seen so far is that there have been job with routine elements that can be easily computerized, which has disappeared, what we see now is that there are more and more advanced jobs that can be replaced in the future, said Breman.
Anna Breman also indicate that very indicates an increasingly divided labor market, where those with tertiary education has remained low unemployment, while it is considerably higher for those who have not finished high school.
Even today, the difference is great, but it can become larger. Automation and computerization could do more and more advanced tasks can be handled by computers.
Stefan Fölster, director of the Reform Institute , recently released a report that 450,000 jobs were lost in Sweden between 2006 and 2011 due to automation and digitalization. At the same time added a lot of jobs.
– It is the best guess, it continues at the same pace. And it is also the same rate as a number of previous studies that attempted to better predict future also looks ahead. But as I said it is difficult to know more precisely if we instead ask how we are to prepare ourselves, then it’s less to think about how fast the job is automated, and more how quickly we create new jobs instead, says Fölster.
