A so-called ultralight aircraft crashed today north of Pite Havsbad. Two people on board escaped unharmed – and after a simple repair flown the plane back to Långnäs airfield.
– There was a fuel hose had come loose, so it was just to screw it back, says Krister Östrén, rescue operations the preparedness of emergency services in Piteå.
The alarm came in at 13:21. The plane crashed near the resort Hortlax, and survived the landing without injury.
– They landed on a large, level field, so it went well, says Östrén.
He states that the tube caused an engine failure but that the plane did not have refueled before it was flown back to Långnäs.
