So began the Google product manager Sundar Pichai company’s conference for developers Google I / O is going on here in San Francisco.

Support for fingerprint readers and the possibility to pay by mobile phone were some of the new features. The new version, which so far only called M, will also provide better battery life and faster charging of mobile devices and tablets. It is released to begin with as a version for developers.

During the keynote put Google up the latest addition – an operating system adapted for the Internet of Things, the so-called Internet of Things. The project is called Brillo and is meant to connect physical things with mobile, cloud and with each other. Product manager Sundar Pichai mentioned door locks and washers as something that can be integrated into the networked ecosystem. The new operating system will be made available later this year.

What provoked maximum cheers during the over two hour long presentation was when Google showed off its new photo service. Where the user can sort photos and videos by days, months or years. The service can also tag people, places and events automatically and make them searchable. Unlike the Apple and Dropbox-like service, Google Photos of charge.
