Microsoft’s major offensive against the companies initiated – no one should evade Windows 10 – IDG.se

Today gathered 1600 visitors at the Microsoft Tech Days conference in Kista, outside Stockholm. For two days they may listen to 119 speakers who gives 108 lectures. In the breaks, they can browse through the range from 47 exhibitors. Yesterday there were workshops for the most interested.

It is impressive facts for a conference that has two faces: first, a general introductory main speech, and fairly detailed presentation on the mainly technical subjects, with much focus on development.

The first day’s keynote speaker Ben Armstrong, one of the leading figures behind the Windows 10 Microsoft, hammered together with Sweden-CEO Jonas Persson and his colleagues Sara Kullgren and Tess Ferrandez, with several, in a loud and clear message: First, Windows 10, then Windows 10 again, and then a bit mixed Azure, Office 365 and universalappar. And so the Swedish music company Propellerhead Software demonstrate how to make music in minutes with a phone and a Windowsapp.

 It is clear that Microsoft is now launching a major offensive in the enterprise market with Windows 10. Examples of sales pitches are flexible applications that adapt to different client devices, security, easy deployment and administration, as well as various options for upgrades.

– Windows 10 is the most secure operating system for client devices, says Ben Armstrong and embarks with a demonstration showing how client devices can be controlled in search of malicious software.

As for upgrades , he shows an illustration of how companies can choose different upgrade cycles for new features to be launched to Windows 10. A typical example is that developers at a company want new features quickly, while to the finance department to lock the configuration. Ben Armstrong’s own desktop computer are updated daily, which is an option internally at Microsoft, to evaluate new features that are in development. Different types of upgrade cycles, for all different customers and internal users, are handled with the same solution.

Microsoft Country Manager Sweden Jonas Persson talks proudly of how innovative we are in Sweden, among other things, that we are the fastest in the world to take new IT solutions in use. One sign of this will be that Windows 10 has reached a 20 percent market share among consumers in Sweden.
