For more than two years ago launched Spotify in Asia, but so far they are only in five countries. Now how the Swedish streaming service is about to be released in two key markets: Japan and Indonesia.
In Japan, the streaming market finally taken off, and Spotify now has four employees in the country and looking more, says the company to TechCrunch. A source within Spotify tells the site that the ongoing recruitment will be an important step to venture into Japan’s complex regulatory system around music licenses.

- We want to aspire to be in all of Asia eventually. We had a Japanese team in place for a while, but there is no confirmed release date on the market yet, says a spokesperson for Spotify to TechCrunch.
According to the site’s sources, launch in Indonesia significantly closer, and Spotify has already been out and looked for a music editor for the country. The world’s fourth largest nation has a population of a quarter of a billion and a rapidly growing market for smart phones.
2013 was released Spotify in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Since then it has been slow to expand in Asia, the only launches have been in the Philippines and Taiwan. In total there are app in about 60 countries around the world.
