When Microsoft last night released its report for the second quarter, expectations were not particularly high. And net loss also landed at 3.2 billion dollars, equivalent to more than 27 billion. The numbers also means that Microsoft shows off the losses of the first time in three years, and make a störtdyk from the corresponding period last year. When did the giant a profit of 4.6 billion dollars, equivalent to more than 39 billion.

However, there is a few bright spots. Revenues ended at $ 22.4 billion, a slightly higher figure than the 22 billion that analysts had predicted beforehand. One reason for this may be attributed to the company’s Surface plates that showed up twice as large numbers than last year. Microsoft’s Surface and Xbox raked in 1.9 billion in revenue.

The figures follow a turbulent period for Microsoft. Just a few weeks ago the company announced that 7800 jobs will disappear in Finland in order to be able to streamline the mobile phone part of the company.

Next Week launched Windows 10, where expectations of Microsoft’s high. Within two years, the company hopes to one billion devices will be running the operating system.
