Even one of Dell’s then-representative confirms to Västnytt that the company invited municipal officials on alcohol, but no more than two glasses of beer or wine with dinner. The company has so far not wanted to be interviewed by Västnytt, without responding in a written statement that it “is extremely careful to follow all of the ethical guidelines and all applicable laws in the countries in which we operate, regardless of the organization or company we work with.”

But Britt-Inger Berntsson which is Uddevallas IT manager does not believe that one has with others do.

– I have extremely skilled and professional staff, and since we do not even affect what we get for suppliers, it has no importance whatsoever she says to Western New.

(…) because we do not even affect what we get for suppliers, it has no importance whatsoever

Uddevalla Municipality has repeatedly ordered computers directly from Dell accordance with Kammarkollegiet agreement. In all cases, Dell has also submitted the lowest bid, in competition with including HP and Lenovo.

But municipal manager Peter Larsson says that the Christmas table as the IT department allowed himself to be invited on is not compatible with the municipality’s policy. Now, an external review of the Dell Christmas buffets implemented.

– The manager is aware that it was improperly done. We learn and move on. This will not happen again, says Peter Larsson Västnytt.

Teenage computer thieves were caught – Skånskan.se

When the two young boys came to see to seven stolen computers from Norrevang School has been hidden in an outdoor enclosure at a school police were there waiting for them .
– The younger of them was so surprised that he almost fell out of the box, told one of the officers during the trial.

The story is told in a judgment of Lund District Court.
A 17-year-old Eslov Boy sentenced to juvenile detention for including two receiving crimes, while 15-year-old sentenced to juvenile detention under a youth contract including receiving stolen goods.
The computers were among those who were stolen during a burglary at Norrevang School August 30 last year, the night before the boys were arrested at the box standing outside Fridasroskolan in Eslöv.

The thermal imagers
at the school registered how four people broke in at school and how someone was waiting outside.
The 15-year-old who was arrested at the box where the stolen goods were stored were around during the burglary. He was tracked down by a police dog for a while after the patrol arrived there 3:35.
The boy denied all knowledge of the burglary and released. He was just there because he liked to take different routes home, he explained.
He refused even to know what was in the box when the cops surprising him the next day.

Rejected
did his 17-year-old friend. The 17-year-old moped police found a battery-powered angle grinder, stolen from a construction company in Eslöv.
Just before the police had been called to Fridasroskolan had two young men used an angle grinder to open outside the box, in which is play equipment.

The boys had been observed by a witness who called the police. Since the boys had run away on a moped.
It was when the policemen stood by the box as they heard the moped returned. The police backed off and hid behind the corner – only one meter from the box with the computers.
And it was here that the two boys got a nasty surprise when the police stepped forward.

After the arrest
has the policemen looked at the two boys phones and found text messages and calls that communicated with other people.
It is consistently short messages, from both the days in question, but there is talk of bags, sacks, computers, kindergarten , money and selling things.

The boys
claimed in the lawsuit that it was entirely different computers, but Lund District Court does not believe in them:
– They both have jointly and in concert has been concerned with the seven computers were found at the site. Their position could be expected to make it harder for Eslöv to get back the stolen goods.
In contrast acquitted 15-year-old from the prosecution that he had been involved during the actual theft attempt.
The right has no forensic evidence linking him to the theft attempt.

The battle for live video streaming has begun – and it brought on Twitter – IDG.se

Last week giant hullabaloo South by Southwest place in the United States. Shortly before appeared Meerkat up, an app that sends live video directly from your phone via a link on Twitter. The American tech geeks became crazy and filmed everything from their sleeping dogs when they read, and everything in between. The app was predicted a bright future.

But sometimes it soon. Only after a few days so limited possibilities Twitter Meerkat using their API. For they had their own ace up his sleeve.

Since January, they owned namely Periscope, a company that had not even launched their service when they were sucked up by 140 characters giant. They want to create a sense of presence through streaming video from phones.

– We build is not a live streaming businesses, we build a teleportation companies, says Kayvon Beykpour, founder of Periscope, according to The Next Web.

And today was released app for iOS, for just as in the case Meerkat as they wait to be let in the world Android users in the heat. The glove is thus subject to a war over who should take care of our live streams with casual content. And there are differences between apps.

The Meerkat disappear material as soon as the user stops transmitting, in Periscope can be saved for later. When Meerkat was most hyped last week could hardly start someone else’s flow before it was finished – a tad unnerving. The Periscope can send hearts by clicking on the screen – a simple and correct ingenious way to display the sender that you like what you see.

But streaming video is of course nothing new, although the last few weeks of hype can make it seem so. Since 2008, the Swedish Bambuser offered almost exactly the same service as the American upstarts now trying to do something new and hip.

Exactly how this works the door to the cockpit of an Airbus – New Technology

The French investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash Germanwings Airbus A320 plane shows that the co-pilot was alone in the cockpit and that he refused to open the door when the plane’s captain knocked and wanted to get back into the cockpit.

Since the terrorist attack in the US in 2001, there are rules that say that the doors should be lockable, protection against, for example, terrorists and hijackers.

The requirements of an aircraft heavier than 45,500 pounds and can take more than 60 passengers on board.

Two pilots usually fly with the larger seating plan as it crashed Airbus plane. It is permissible for one of them leaves the cockpit while driving, for example, to go to the toilet, said Gunnar Ljungberg, head of flight safety department at the Swedish Transport Agency.

– But then also have certain requirements to be met, he said.

Either a member of the cabin crew go into the cockpit and stay there until the pilot seated at the controls opens the door for the second pilot.

Or must the door to the cockpit going to open from outside, for example by using a secret code. The idea is to be able to enter if the pilot gets sick. It has been calculated with a “heart attack” scenario describes Gunnar Ljungberg.

– But even if the door can be opened with the code so it can pilot that is left deny access through an active action. The idea behind it is to prevent someone hijackers take over the plane, he said.

If the pilot rather do nothing to open door a short time.

In this case, state investigators that the pilot refused to open the door. The pilot can thus denying his colleague, the plane’s captain, entry by blocking the emergency opening.

The airlines are obliged to comply with these EU requirements but may still have different procedures and routines. A video from the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, from the spring of 2014, shows how the door works when handling the Airbus aircraft have reinforced doors.

But exactly what routines used on board the airline Germanwings Airbus is still unclear.

Facebook wants to Messenger to become future customer service – IDG.se

Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg wants to chat messenger pin to be used for communication between businesses and individuals in the same way as the app currently used to communicate between people. The plan he presented yesterday at the company’s developer conference f8 in San Francisco. The idea is that the communication today is done via telephone or email, for example, between a client and an online store instead be made via the company’s chat app. Zuckerberg envisions that customers such should be able to get their receipts in Messenger or messages when an item is on its way by courier.

Messenger for Business
Now, Facebook take over customer service, too.

To get companies to take up the Messenger that channel to its customers, Facebook has created Business on Messenger to be used by companies to manage communication via the app. Business on Messenger will be launched along with a handful of business partners in the beginning.

– Helping people communicate more naturally with the company, I believe will improve almost every human lives, said Mark Zuckerberg in his presentation.

But at the same time would greater use of Messenger contacts between companies and their customers also provide this valuable information about buying habits which could potentially be used to further optimize the company’s ad deal.

According to the site TechCrunch who interviewed David Marcus, director of Messenger, the company has not yet clear business model for how to make money on Business on Messenger.

F8 launched Facebook is also a new platform for app developers who want to develop their own apps for Messenger what the company now called Facebook Messenger platform. From the start there are about 40 apps available, with a focus on creating images, video and audio that can be added into the chat in a simpler way than before.

But there are even apps such as The Weather Channel and sports network ESPN. Offering app developers to integrate their services with Messenger is a way for Facebook to reinforce the competition against meddelandeappar as Line, Kik, KakaoTalk and Google Hangouts.
