Sandbank puts Vattenfall first wind map – New Technology

       

Sandbank built together with Stadtwerke München just outside the recently opened wind park Dan Tysk, which they also own together. Vattenfall is the majority owner.

72 wind turbines from Siemens model SWT-4.0-130 will be erected in the Sandbank. They are each of 4 MW, which gives a total output of 288 MW. Annual production is estimated at 1.4 TWh.

Power plants wounds in water depths between 24 and 33 meters spread over an area of ​​60 km 2 . The distance to the coast is 110 km, and from the island of Sylt 90 km.

The hub is located 95 m above sea level and the rotor diameter is 130 m.

Investment in Sandbank amounts to EUR 1.2 billion. The plant will be operational in 2017.
