Miljardböter for the Oculus – Västerbottens-kuriren (the Courier)

Facebookägda VR maker Oculus has of an american jury has been ordered to pay the equivalent of almost 4.4 billion to spelmjukvarutillverkaren Zenimax.

According to the lawsuit in the state of Texas used the Oculus founder Palmer Luckey and his colleagues have stolen code from Zenimax when they developed their VR headset the Rift.

Luckey has been sentenced to pay the equivalent of close to 438 million, and another high-ranking within the Oculus 1.3 billion.

Facebook bought Oculus 2014 for many billions of Swedish kronor and began selling the devices last year as part of its commitment to VR. In the case has Facebookgrundaren Mark Zuckerberg testified to defend the Oculus.
