Ericsson has reached the top speed of their 5g bus – New Technology

Ericsson has reached the top speed of 7.5 Gb / s with its 5g bus in Kista. As proof, the telecom giant put out a movie online.

Right now 5g World Summit in London. It opened yesterday and took the opportunity Ericsson to announce that reached 7.5 Gbit / s while driving with his 5g bus in Kista. Here is a film that shows the test car in Kista when one reaches the top of the speed.

The record was set on June 10, but it is f irst Ericsson now go public with the news.

In the test used Ericsson 5g its latest prototype that new technology has told you about earlier.

In the prototype are 64 radio stations and 128 of antenna elements. It is about the so-called massive MIMO, ie many antennas on the same frequency band. There are also Ericsson’s new air interface 5g, called NO. Internally, Ericsson has called its interface for NX after Startreks spaceship.

Ericsson 5g prototype is already being tested by operators in Asia, including NTT Docomo in Japan, and the United States.

Ericsson says that it is partnering of 5g with over 20 operators worldwide.

During the mobile World Congress in Barcelona early this spring demonstrated 5g speeds of 25 Gbit / s in the lab environment. Then, Ericsson launched the software also Gigabit-LTE, upgrading commercial 4G network to download speeds of 1 Gbit / s.
