Rumor: Apple in talks to buy Tidal – 99mac

Apple is negotiating with music service Tidal about a possible takeover, according to unconfirmed reports. Apple is primarily looking for exclusive artists to his own service.

In February it was reported that Samsung was interested in buying up the service, and now the Wall Street Journal reports that Apple is in talks with Tidal about a possible deal.

According to the report ongoing talks with Tidal right now, and there is no certainty that they will result in a business. A spokesperson for Tidal denies that it held negotiations with Apple.

When Jay-Z bought Tidal of Swedish Aspiro received 19 famous artists a small part of the company. Another popular artist Tidal has exclusive rights to the Prince, who passed away in April. Prince was skeptical on streaming music services, but was a close friend of Jay-Z.
