Research on age discrimination – Swedish Radio

Discrimination based on age is a common phenomenon but still speaks very little about it. It says researcher Annika Larsson Taghizadeh. She is one of two researchers from Linköping University to be included in an international project on ageism.

Annika Taghizadeh Larsson will participate in this international cooperation with 30 other countries, together with his colleague Professor Andreas Motel-Klingebiel, explaining what it called ageism really is:

– ageism is actually the same as what we usually call for age discrimination, says Andreas Motel-Klingebiel .

It’s about not accessing care or other similar things. Or not to get a job or perhaps a lower salary because they are considered too old, he said.

Annika Taghizadeh Larsson now hope that the problem will alert man more in several places.
