Microsoft scraps Explorer – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

Since it came with the operating system was Explorer from the 1990s, the dominant browser and the market was so great that the EU a few years ago forced Microsoft to give consumers the option to choose which browser they wanted.

In retrospect, one might conclude that the action was a bit unnecessary. Explorer has steadily declined in popularity against competitors Google Chrome and Firefox in recent years. The management of Microsoft has realized the shortcomings and in advertising ‘the Explorer “Browser you love to hate.”

Spartan will mainly work better on mobile platforms.
