The US chip company Micron and storage company Western Digital Corp. for reportedly talks with SanDisk about a possible acquisition.

SanDisk, working with flash memory solutions, according to data Bloomberg hired a bank to explore a possible sale of the company – and courted by Micron and WDC, said the sources.

SanDisk, which operates facilities along with Toshiba in Japan, will probably need some approvals to get through sales. No decision has yet been taken. SanDisk is currently valued at $ 12.6 billion.

None of the companies want to comment on the data, writes Bloomberg.
