Adobe crawling to the cross: It is time to abandon Flash – IDG.se

It took her time, but now through Adobe decided to thank the Flash. In a statement on the format’s future expresses firm support for the competing format HTML5.

“Going forward, we will encourage content producers to build new Web standards,” writes Adobe.

 In the same cranks begins Adobe Flash slowly phase out the brand. After almost 20 years, they have decided to rename the animation tool, Flash Professional to Animate CC. The reinvention of the program will be released early next year, Adobe also has an HTML5 video player for desktop browsers in the plans.

 

 The decision comes as no shock. Despite the name already use a third of all projects in Flash Professional html5, according to Adobe.
