Two children have found a dead man on a lawn in Arvidsjaur.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation of suspected manslaughter.
– There are some circumstances that we can not immediately rule out the crimes, says Agneta Hansson of police in Norrbotten.
the deceased man is said to be in their 80s. He anträffades on a lawn of two children on Saturday, reports Piteå newspaper.
Police have cordoned off the place and knocking on doors in the area. A technical investigation has also been made.
– There are some circumstances that we can not immediately rule out the crime. Now, we take all the standard measures at a death, says Anders Hansson, on-call investigators at Norrbotten police.
She continues:
– Preliminary however, there is no evidence that any crime has been committed.
The man will now necropsied. Only when the investigation is complete, the police will be able to give definite information about what happened.
– We have to wait for the results before we rule out anything. Hopefully we will know more on Monday, says Agneta Hansson.
Some details of the incident are not known at this time.
The man’s relatives are informed.
