Four million to the project – Västerbotten Folkblad

Umeå. Vinnova investing four million dollars on a two-year research and development project . A project run by the Umeå University together with Algoryx Simulation, LKAB and Optimation.

The companies go in with as much money. The idea is that using detailed computer simulations should be possible to easily control the manufacture and transport of materials such as iron ore, gravel and grain.
– The methods provide new possibilities to control processes and reduce energy consumption, while the quality of products can be increased, says Martin Servin, researchers at UMIT Research Lab and lecturer at the Department of Physics at Umeå University in a press release.
