Asus releases a really flipped Chromebook – and a dongle that allows the TV to a … – IDG.se

Computers based on Google’s operating system, Chrome OS is called Chrome and almost all are cast in the same mold. With the computer Flip dare Asus however go against the grain because the new series not only is smaller than most, but also has a screen that folds all the way around.

Chromebook Flips pressure sensitive screen is 10.1 inches and is surrounded to a durable aluminum frame. The resolution is at 1280 x 800 points, slightly higher than most competing models of eleven inches.

On the processor side, Asus invested in Arms low-power Cortex-A17 which will contribute to longer battery life because it requires no fan. The Swedish price is not yet clear, but in the United States sold the model that has 2 GB of RAM and flash disk of 16 GB for $ 250, about 2300 crowns.

The Asus new product range around the Chrome OS is also a small dongle that inspired by Chromecast. It’s called Chromebit and can be switched on most screens that have HDMI output.
