The technology took 450,000 jobs in five years – Västerbotten Courier

Between 2006 and 2011 lost 450,000 jobs through automation, mainly in industry, commerce and administration.

It shows a report commissioned by the Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF).

While leading automation to new jobs, both directly and indirectly. That, and the increased demand due to rising incomes, has replaced three quarters of the jobs that have disappeared, writes report author Stefan Fölster in Dagens Nyheter.
