Bridge fault paralyze rail services to Göteborg – Gothenburg Post



Sweden A failure of a bridge in Töreboda paralyzed train services between Gothenburg and Stockholm on Sunday. According to SJ thousands of passengers were affected by the error which is expected to result in train delays during Sunday evening.
 - For SJ is about eleven train is stationary, with around 4000 passengers on board, told Maja Rapp, SJ Press Office during the stop.

The error in Töreboda bridge over the canal was discovered at 16:20 pm on Sunday.

– The bridge does not close completely. Rail traffic can not cross the bridge and affecting train services between Gothenburg and Stockholm, told Agneta Eklund on Trafikverket’s press office on Sunday afternoon.

According to SJ affected eleven trains, with 4000 people on board of brofelet.
