It is a well-protected secret.

But now comes the information claiming that Apple already 2019 will showcase a car.

It reports the Wall Street Journal.

So far, the technology giant did not say a word that they would hold on to branch out activities for the automotive sector. However, there are a lot of clues that point towards this.

It all started when Apple launched its secret “Project Titan” and then began to snatch the staff from companies such as Tesla, Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles and battery company A123 Systems.

600 people will be working with the car

This put quickly started the speculation, but now the Wall Street Journal in a report that will surprise. According to the newspaper that Apple has given the project the green light and the aim is that already in 2019 have a working car ready.

In the current situation should already 600 people working on the car, but plans to triple its workforce shortly.

Apple is not alone in the technology industry to keep on with the cars. Archrival Google also has the car at the time, but there are a few things that are different. Google says they do not want to be a car manufacturer, but rather a technology partner and that their self-driving car shows the potential.

Fully self-propelled

The upcoming “iCar” shall not, according to the Wall Street Journal to be completely self-driving, however, will be fully electric.

It is not clear from the information that is now available on Apple planning to build the car itself, put it on contract manufacture or license the technology. It is also possible for Apple to enter into partnerships with other established car manufacturers – they have had, among other meetings with BMW lately.

Fortune magazine has talked to analysts about the Wall Street Journal’s revelation, and no one is surprised. Many even think that it is a natural step for Apple and that there is every indication that they are serious in their new project.
