Soon you can package comes with drones – Aftonbladet

The Finnish postal operator Posti is the first in Europe drönarleverans.

Posti, the Finnish equivalent to the Post, is currently testing to deliver packages with drones, writes Reuters. The goal is to make internet shopping easier for both the sender and the receiver.

Tested supplies

There is accommodation on the island of Suomenlinna, a few kilometers from Helsinki, with start test-flying supplies. The packages, which must not weigh more than three kilos, flown over the water instead of being transported by boat. The plan is that this method will become a permanent feature of business within a few years.

Drönarexperimenten performed by the company Sharper Shape, which has great visions for drones. In the future, the drone can be useful in many areas.

– I expect that when the technology matures further, we will see many companies that have many different applications, from precision agriculture, forestry, inventories of supplies so clearly, review of power lines and traffic count, says the company’s CEO Tero Heinonen told Reuters.
