Swedish aging research is exported to India – Sveriges Radio

The number of people over 65 is expected to increase dramatically in the country and now directs the Indians eyes to Sweden for help to meet this challenge.

Swedish research on aging is exported to India, reports the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.

The number of people over 65 is expected to increase dramatically in the country and now directs the Indians eyes to Sweden to get help meet this challenge.

An example on the great need for knowledge is that in India only ten trained geriatricians. In Sweden there are about 500 specialist doctors specializing in the care of the elderly.

But now plans India a big bet with new research institute to be built.

A Swedish delegation has just been to visit in the country and the next step is to initiate joint research projects.
