Dropbox demonstrates function Infinite – 99mac

If you use Dropbox and struggling with limited storage space on your computer will surely like the company’s latest bet Infinite.

# Dropbox is a popular service for backing up files that allows users to synchronize files on the company’s cloud service with various units. Computers that have the Dropbox software installed can allow all content on the cloud service syncs to your computer. An exceptional feature of however requires storage space available.

Anyone who has limited storage space on your computer have long had the ability to set the cloud service does not synchronize all files and folders to your computer. The downside to this is that the user can not see these directories and files in the computer’s file manager, a problem that Dropbox to fix the upcoming feature Infinite.

With the Infinite, all files and directories available stored on the cloud service is displayed in the file manager. Just as before, marked the files stored on your computer with a green tick. New with Infinite is that the files are not stored on your computer are listed in the file manager with a cloud symbol instead.

Synchronized files are marked with green check mark, and cloud stored files marked with a cloud icon.

If the user opens a file that is not stored on the computer loads the Dropbox software automatically downloads the current file and opens it in the appropriate application. In this way, you would theoretically keep your system free of files, and only download the files you need when you need them.

Dropbox has not announced when the update becomes available, but they have confirmed supported operating systems. In addition to OS X compatibility Windows 7, 8 and 10.
