Apple pulls out against U2 agony – Aftonbladet

Stockholm. Half a billion iTunes users received unsolicited Irish rock group U2′s new album for free on their computers or phones in the last week. Apple’s prank was conceived as a marketing ploy, but backfired when critics compared it to get computer viruses.

Now acting Apple by releasing a tool that with one click makes it possible to remove the U2 album from iTunes.

– It is embarrassing for Apple, commented media consultant Ian Maude from Enders Analysis for the BBC.
