It started with a handful of users clicked on the links that they thought would take them to the nude pictures of Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna and other celebrities whose private photos leaked from Apple’s cloud service iCloud.
Instead charged they downloaded malicious software that generated large amounts of data traffic abroad, in the form of attacks on computers in Europe.
The New Zealand authorities say they do not know who was behind the attack.
