Overheated lithium ion batteries in Boeing aircraft model 787 Dreamliner led to all planes were standing on the ground for three months while the cause was investigated.
Most aircraft of the model had Japanese airline All Nippon Airways.
After some modifications to the flight ban was lifted, but the Japanese Transport Security Authority JTSB continued investigation to get to the root of the problem.
In a report released today claims JTSB that you have not yet found the cause of the problem. However, it is believed that during the development of the batteries the engineers underestimated the risk of a short circuit in one cell can spread to other cells because the equipment is not grounded.
