3 things that stand out with Microsoft’s new gadgets – New Technology

Vr-helmets, a new laptop and a powerful desktop computer. Here are three things that caused us to raise eyebrows after Microsoft’s lanseringsjippo in the week.

Vr without wires

Virtual reality is a technology which is expected to have a major impact in the next few years. Now gives to Microsoft in the fight against, for example, Facebookägda Oculus by launching a completely new series of vr-helmets.

A detail that may be Microsoft’s solution to stand out against its competitors is that the helmets are equipped with built-in spårningssensorer – unlike, for example, HTC’s Vive, which must be connected together with external cameras that use lasers to track how the helmet carrier is moving in the room.

the Helmets, which will have a starting price at the equivalent of 2700 euros, is also completely self contained, which means that they do not need to be connected with a computer or mobile device.

Sustainable in the box

It has now been a year since Microsoft showed up the notebook Surface Book. Now comes the sequel, dubbed the Surface Book i7. Battery life is a crucial factor for laptops, and according to Microsoft’s pr department, new Surface Book i7 be able to be used for 16 hours on a single charge. If the computer is able to deliver on that promise remains to be seen. Microsoft’s new laptop will cost the equivalent of about 21 400 sek and is released in november.

Computer with super-thin touch screen

the big news on Wednesday’s lanseringsjippo was Surface Studio Pro, which will be Microsoft’s first desktopdator. The new computer will be shipped with a 28-inch 4k touch-screen (with a minimum resolution 3,840 x 2,160 pixels), which only is 1.25 inch thick, making it significantly thinner, for example, is competitor the Imac from Apple. Microsoft also launched an interesting accessory to the computer, called the Surface Dial. Basically, it is a kind of puckformat tools that can be placed on the large touch screen, and by then the “screw” on the puck, the user can zoom in images, for example.

Surface Studio Pro will come with Intel Core i7 or i5 processors, 32 gigabytes of ram, 2 terabytes of storage capacity and Windows 10 installed. The price tag clearly shows that it is not personal computer designed for all – the cheapest Surface Studio Pro is expected to cost the equivalent of 26 7000 sek.
